Attendance Amidst a Pandemic!

Hello to students and families of the Enfield District School community! My name is Kareen Knox and in my role as Attendance Support I connect with students and families to support good attendance habits.

While attending school is important, it’s also important for us all to be mindful of our health at this time. If a student is feeling unwell or experiencing symptoms of Covid-19, as outlined by Public Health, it’s important to stay home until the student is feeling better (or as directed by 811 if appropriate).

This may mean higher than usual absences for students. Therefore it is important for caregivers and school personnel to maintain communication about student absences.

In addition to physical illness, there are many other things that can affect a student’s attendance. If your student is finding it challenging to come to school, please feel free to reach out and connect with me. Together we can work toward finding a solution!

Wishing all students and families a great year of connection, fun and learning!
